Management in Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
Crafting and creating memorable experiences for our guests is rewarding but challenging. My philosophy in management is to build and lead qualified teams dedicated to preserving the guest experience. Do the hard work behind the scenes and let our guests have fun and play.

"In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun."
I've had many assorted and fulfilling roles throughout my career. Highlights include the U.S. Air Force, diverse career opportunities in all levels of software application development and volunteer work for those less fortunate.
An important and influential chapter in my story was the role of cast facilitator during one of the largest expansion in Walt Disney World history. Quite the different experience from working in the information technology and software development field. My technical problem solving and project management skills added value to this role. However, helping hundreds of guests each day from many diverse backgrounds was perhaps the biggest and most exciting challenge. Every day presented something new and different. Often it was the language barrier and learning how to communicate effectively and respect different cultural norms and sensitivities. |
"Oh, the places you'll go..."
This experience lead me to earn an additional degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with a minor in Spanish from the University of Utah. I look forward to continue creating new experiences through recreation and tourism. Goals include resort and recreation management, providing excellence in guest services and experiences while working with qualified and diverse team members. My career experience, education, thoughts and ideas (blog), and contact information are located at the top of every page.
Feel free to look around and learn more about me and my management philosophies. The story’s never ending. |
